Vitamina Sailing: in Valencia for winter training
Today saw the start of the first winter training session in Valencia, Spain, for Vitamina Sailing, Andrea Lacorte’s team, racing this year in the One Design Club Swan 50 and Melges 32 classes, with hulls emblasoned with Cetilar® – the line of Cetylated Ester-based products for muscle and joint well-being.
For the crew led by Lacorte, this is the first time out on the water in 2020, with the Club Swan 50, and is a fundamental opportunity for familiarising with the powerful Swan monotype after the winter break.
And the top news for 2020 is the new addition to the team, the US tactician Chris Larson, who will be working alongside the skipper Lacorte in the cockpit. Having won the Rolex Yachtsman of the Year award and lots of other titles, Larson is a great addition to the crew that this year can also count on the experience of navigator Andrea Caracci.
After the winter training session in Valencia, the season’s first Club Swan 50 race will be held in the Balearic Islands with Palmavela (5-10 May). After that, to Saint Tropez with the Giraglia Rolex Cup (5-9 June), back to Palma for the Copa del Rey (1-8 August), Porto Cervo for the Swan Cup (6-13 September) and finally, to Scarlino, in Maremma, for the World Championship, part of the Nations Trophy (11-17 October).
